Kaitsu plays
VSOP King
The Finnish sang “surf pop” act Jani & Jetsetters enjoys great success on the Finnish music scene. The band names Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction to be one of their sources of inspiration. Jetsetters mixes pop and rock in a unique way that feels simultaneously fresh yet still old-fashioned. Their catchy melodies and cool “spaghetti western retro sound” have become quite a phenomenon in the country – the Jetsetters-style! The band members are: Jani Forsman (vocals), Kaitsu Seppälä (guitar), Japa Mattila (guitar), Petteri Pyhähuhta (drums) and Jari Luostari (bass).
Kaitsu does not only play, but he also has a long semi-pro / hobby background building and repairing guitars! Juha recalls the time when he was studying to be a luthier and meeting Kaitsu for the first time: “Kaitsu had been involved in guitar building many years ahead of me, so it was really interesting for me, as a rookie, to compare experiences. Kaitsu is a regular visitor at my shop nowadays – he even worked here as a trainee some years ago! I’m really honoured that Kaitsu has chosen to play my guitar with his band!”
“Can’t help it – the VSOP King beats my strats with its smooth playability and meaty tone!”
